Cloud, integration and AI that actually ship.

Cloudware is a Canadian consultancy of senior, hands-on architects. We help enterprises modernize on AWS, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and Microsoft Azure, securely connect their systems through governed APIs, automate delivery with a full audit trail, and put AI agents to work on real enterprise data, with monitoring and transparency built in.

What we do

Digital transformation, from architecture to running code

Five practices, one team. We design it, build it with you, and make sure it keeps paying off.

Built right, from the first design

Security, audit and monitoring are not add-ons

Every architecture we design and every platform we build is reviewed against the same six qualities. You see the results in plain reports and dashboards, not just in our word.

  • Secure by design

Least-privilege identity, encryption, secrets management and network segmentation built into landing zones, gateways and pipelines.

  • Auditable and transparent

Every change goes through version control and an approved pipeline, every decision is written down, and you get clear reporting on what changed, who approved it and why.

  • Monitored end to end

Logs, metrics, traces and alerts from day one, in one view across clouds, APIs and automation, so issues are found before users find them.

  • Reliable

Resilient architecture, tested backup and recovery, and automated rollback, so failures are contained and recovery is routine.

  • Efficient at any scale

Right-sized resources that scale with demand, and operations automated so teams spend time on change, not toil.

  • Cost-aware

Tagging, budgets and monthly cost reviews keep spend visible and tied to value, and using only what you need lowers your footprint too.

Enterprise experience

Built inside Canada's largest IT organizations

Our architects have spent decades delivering for major Canadian financial institutions, national telecom carriers, utilities and public-sector organizations. We know how large enterprises really work: the governance, the legacy, the security reviews and the politics, and how to get change through them.

  • Financial services & insurance

Major Canadian banks, insurers and payment providers: regulated, risk-averse, running core systems that cannot go down.

  • Telecommunications

National carriers with high-volume integration, real-time customer channels and constant product launches.

  • Energy & utilities

Utilities modernizing operational and smart-metering systems under strict security and audit requirements.

  • Public sector

Public-sector organizations driving cloud adoption, automation and AI under strict security and policy requirements.

The challenges we see, and how we get past them

  • Legacy systems that cannot keep pace

Wrap them in governed APIs first, then retire them on a plan instead of a big-bang rewrite.

  • Cloud bills that grow faster than value

Right-size, automate and measure monthly: the savings stay because they are built into the platform.

  • Security and audit slowing every change

Bake controls into landing zones, pipelines and API gateways so compliance becomes the default path.

  • AI pilots that never reach production

Give models governed access to enterprise data through the integration layer you already trust.

  • Releases that need a war room

Infrastructure as code, CI/CD and observability turn deployments into routine, repeatable events.

  • Too many vendors, no single design

Independent architecture that puts AWS, OCI, Azure and SaaS in their right place and documents why.

AI data-access layer with MCP

Challenge
An AI adoption program needed large language models to use company data without bypassing existing controls.
What we did
Architected a Model Context Protocol (MCP) data-access layer on the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform and re-engineered Azure DevOps CI/CD.
Outcome
Governed, reusable access from LLMs to enterprise data through existing APIs.
  • AI enablement
  • MCP
  • MuleSoft
  • Azure DevOps

Public-sector organization · 2024–2025

Automation platform on Azure, optimized

Challenge
An RPA and AI automation platform was slow to scale and costly to run.
What we did
Introduced Terraform for all provisioning, automated bot-runner VM rollout, built CI/CD for the automation platform and unified monitoring in Azure Log Analytics.
Outcome
Over $10,000 per month in Azure savings, with faster rollout and one view of platform health.
  • Azure
  • Terraform
  • RPA
  • FinOps

Public-sector organization · 2020–2021

Legacy SOA to cloud-native

Challenge
An on-premises Oracle SOA Suite application blocked cloud adoption.
What we did
Re-engineered it as Spring Boot microservices on Azure App Service and Functions, with Terraform for Azure and OCI, and hybrid API management with self-hosted gateways.
Outcome
A cloud migration playbook reused by other teams.
  • Azure
  • OCI
  • Microservices
  • API management

How we work

Assess, design, deliver, optimize

Small senior teams, no hand-offs to juniors. The architect who designs your solution is the one who helps build it.

  1. 01Assess

Understand the business goal, the current estate, its security and compliance posture, and the constraints that are real versus inherited.

  2. 02Design

Choose the target architecture, review it for security, reliability, performance and cost, and write down the key design decisions and why.

  3. 03Deliver

Build it hands-on with your team: infrastructure as code, secure pipelines, APIs and automation, with monitoring and audit logging from day one.

  4. 04Optimize

Measure security, cost, reliability and speed, report transparently, feed results back and hand over a team that can run it.

Why Cloudware

Enterprise depth, consultancy focus

  • Security and audit built in from the first design, not bolted on before go-live
  • Monitoring and transparent reporting, so you always know what is running, what changed and what it costs
  • Senior consultants only: the people who design your solution help build it
  • Vendor-neutral across AWS, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and Microsoft Azure
  • Proven inside regulated, large-enterprise environments
  • Experience with public-sector security and compliance requirements
  • Knowledge transfer built in, so your team can run what we deliver
