Our story
One thread since 2008: making systems work together
The technology has changed from service buses to cloud platforms and AI agents. The job has not: connect the business to the systems it depends on, and make change safe.
2008
Cloudware Consulting is founded in Toronto, focused on middleware and service-oriented integration for large enterprises.
2010s
Our practice grows into API-led integration, DevOps and infrastructure as code for national telecom, utility and financial-services organizations.
2016+
Cloud strategy and delivery: provider selection, AWS landing zones, microservices and digital platforms for national insurers.
2020+
Multi-cloud advisory for public-sector organizations: container standards, Azure optimization, RPA and AI automation platforms.
Today
Now based in Ottawa, focused on AI enablement: Model Context Protocol data-access layers and agentic automation that let LLMs work safely with enterprise data.
Enterprise experience
Built inside Canada's largest IT organizations
Our architects have spent decades delivering for major Canadian financial institutions, national telecom carriers, utilities and public-sector organizations. We know how large enterprises really work: the governance, the legacy, the security reviews and the politics, and how to get change through them.
-
Financial services & insurance
Major Canadian banks, insurers and payment providers: regulated, risk-averse, running core systems that cannot go down.
-
Telecommunications
National carriers with high-volume integration, real-time customer channels and constant product launches.
-
Energy & utilities
Utilities modernizing operational and smart-metering systems under strict security and audit requirements.
-
Public sector
Public-sector organizations driving cloud adoption, automation and AI under strict security and policy requirements.
The challenges we see, and how we get past them
-
Legacy systems that cannot keep pace
Wrap them in governed APIs first, then retire them on a plan instead of a big-bang rewrite.
-
Cloud bills that grow faster than value
Right-size, automate and measure monthly: the savings stay because they are built into the platform.
-
Security and audit slowing every change
Bake controls into landing zones, pipelines and API gateways so compliance becomes the default path.
-
AI pilots that never reach production
Give models governed access to enterprise data through the integration layer you already trust.
-
Releases that need a war room
Infrastructure as code, CI/CD and observability turn deployments into routine, repeatable events.
-
Too many vendors, no single design
Independent architecture that puts each cloud provider and SaaS platform in its right place, and documents why.
